Wadebridge is located in a stunning region of the county, lying at the start of the Camel Estuary, a short distance from the North Coast. Following the Camel Trail cycle route from the town to the sea will take you along the banks of the Camel River as it becomes an estuary. At the mouth is Padstow, looking across to Rock. For more North Cornwall holidays, the Estuary Directory offers highlights of Rock, Padstow, Polzeath, Port Isaac and Wadebridge, towns that are rapidly rising in standards.

Not far up the coast is Tintagel, a short journey and in dramatically different scenery. The town has millennia of history, from the Iron Age through to the Norman myths adopted by Victorians.

The Swan Hotel is an excellent spot for exploring this region, with good food and accommodation available in a central location. You can strike out to a great deal of the land, and never have too far to travel at the end of the day. For more information on holidays in Cornwall, Eye on Cornwall supplies event listings, webcams, town guides (including Wadebridge) and news on the county.
